I agree Dave.
It's just a matter of time until the features of the new MSD unit are
built into the logic
chip on every after market ignition. The unit you buy may not have the
feature but that
will only because the switch/control for the feature is not installed on
the outside of the
box.. It's is far cheaper to make one main board with everything and
just activate what
you want to sell. The customer pays for function, not hardware.
This is BAU in modern electronics.
