The magic of Ron Ayers was located on the underbelly of the black beast. Few
know of the perforated skin that fed into collectors and exhausted through
the port and starboard nacelles that housed the engines. Ayers anticipated
not only the low pressure areas, but temperamental shockwave(s) and came up
with a simple, passive, yet brilliant solution.
I am guessing here, but the resulting turbulent air at that speed might very
well be the ultimate ground pounder.
