The rule book mentions a 'diesel cycle engine'. I am completely unaware of this
so called cycle. If they are referring to variations in an Otto cycle engine the
only ones I am aware of are:
2 stroke
4 stroke
SI.. spark ignition
CI.. compression ignition
There have been lots of examples built using all 4 combinations.
Does all this infer that if an engine does use an electrical ignition system or
uses compression ignition it is an SCTA 'Diesel cycle"?? whatever that is.
