I want to take a second and let you all know how it really feels to
finally accomplish a life long goal... and to make sure everyone knows who can
be attributed to making it happen besides myself.
First off Donald Healey ran 203mph back in 56 and quite frankly keeping
Healey's all my life has kept his name and feats in front of me as a carrot so
to speak. oh and he did it in a streamlined Austin Healey Hundred... so there
you go... historical reference for the current rules allowing streamlining in
this class.
Brad Johnson taught me more then any of you would believe... and he's been
a great friend through all of this... sure there have been some tuff times...
but there always will be when you try to do something as a team effort. Brad
and I sat on a wall in a parking garage in Saudi looking at Magazines
wondering what it takes to set a record on the Bonneville Salt flats... and
now we both know... ( Tom Bryant's Tom Thumb Special was a small index photo
with a caption only about him making small motors really sing...)( Tom... why
couldn't you have built a B MOTOR?
