Yes, that's hot but that's what it takes to generate those big convection
currents that pull in moisture-laden air from the Gulf of Mexico and bring
us our blessed monsoon season. Then the thunderstorms cool things off and
we're treated to spectacular lightning displays.
If it weren't so hot this time of year, half of the country would move here
and ruin it!
