Looking for some experienced opinion here about blower drives using the
two inch x 1/2" pitch Gilmer belt. How important it is to use a shield
around the belt in case it breaks or comes off. The belt itself is not
too heavy but I suppose it can do some damage if it whips around,
possibly rip off a fuel line, and that could cause a fire, or bend some
of my bodywork. So what is the best practice with it, how heavy a steel
strip for a shield, and what part of the belt run to cover? Thanks,
