Dr. As you can tell, wiring at this level is somewhat outside the level of my limited experience. As such I am interested in what is involved. I don't think IMSA cars use gold plated connectors like NASA but maybe they do. There is definitely a lot I can learn here even if I never actually use any of it. I think Dave said he had around $5000 in wiring tools. I have a crimper that came free with an order of $25 or greater from J. C. Whitney, and cutters are a souvenir of my time with the 41st Signal Battalion. All I have learned so far is 10 gage wire is good and switches from Kragen don't last on salt. Waytec is a very good source if you can't get aircraft scrap. I am looking forward to this learning experience.
