I did Dan's procedure with my bike, before my best run (about 1mph better
than any run w/o trans warmup). Of course, it's a lot easier to do that in
the staging lane with a bike.

We discussed this before under racing check list. Part of the pre-run
procedure should be to jack the car up and run the gears thus warming the
trans and diff, manual or auto? - don't matter.
