You have to remember that journalists do have finger problems. The

The streamliner chassis design is based upon that of 'Penetrator' - the
only streamliner to hold the UK wheeldriven record on a British track,
designed and built by Alex MacFadzean (Alex was on the Turbinator crew in
recent years). A streamliner that could operate within the confines of 2
miles of track!
Ofcourse if you look at the outright speed (regardless of class) the
Gillette Mach 3 Challenger of Richard Brown (Team Maximum Impulse) was the
last bike to attempt to become the fastest under FIM rules - which it did
one way but not two. The rocket bike went 360mph peak, 332.87 mph average.
Muttley from Team Maximum Impulse built a 'trainer bike' in the UK so that
Richard could learn to ride a streamliner with the pilot in the reclined
position. A small engineering team in South Africa has built a new trainer
bike (a superior construction) to test their deserts for Team Maximum
Impulse with our solid wheels attached. Gabriel Uttley will be flying to
South Africa in two months time to learn to ride the trainer bike and at
the same time test a few desert surfaces.
With details of the Puma motor now in the public domain, the list now knows
why I was asking about what makes a 'single' motor under SCTA rules for
cars. The Puma motor is a 'V8 Yamaha' that could power many types of 'F'
motored cars.
Should Gabriel get the wheeldriven record it might stimulate businesses to
back another attempt by Team Maximum Impulse.
