Maybe what we have here is two sets of International/World records.
One with BNI rules, and the other under FIA rules. Two different
organizations, but both International/World records. My International / World
Records were all set under the BNI banner.

We oughta get right on this... ( tongue planted firmly in cheek )
a tongue which is bleeding from biting it... Okay lets do a reality check
one last time.... The FIA isn't who writes MY rule book.... they aren't the
one's who set up the courses I race on... they aren't going to one day get
me into the Bonneville/El Mirage Two clubs.... that's the SCTA.... and my
efforts.... ( quick thank you to all the volunteers that make this
possible )
If someone else races a 1980 Camaro in one of the Very Few classes that
exsist in the FIA and breaks a record I've set at any of the venues avalible
to me.... then I guess I'll have to jump on the FIA band wagon...
History is written by the victors... that simple.... if you allow the FIA to
be the dominate name in Land Speed Racing... then it is.... if we as a group
of little guy racers want to run our cars and call the records set World
records... quite simply they are World records.... until you have a car
that's faster and JUST like Mine (within the class structure)... after that
there are less then 5% of the folks that pay the entry fees being
represented by the FIA... They don't represent the future of our hobby... we
do.... it's US... the guys that come from Texas to race at Maxton and the
guys who trapse to Bonneville each year.... then damn Aussies making that
trek to Gairdner....we are the one's currently writting the history
books....
I'm not going to get into this battle again.... surfice it to say I just
don't care about the FIA cause they don't represent our current day reality
for the average racer...
