I bought a Miller TIG welder after the PRI show in December. I love it as I
can now, after some seat time, make a decent weld on the Honda roll cage. I'm
not a professional by any means but the welds look so much better than
anything I had done before with the MIG welder. Looks like better penetration
too.
Anyway my next step in this, self taught, evolution is to learn to weld
aluminum. Anyone have any suggestions? Type of rods, tungsten - type and size,
heat settings, anything. My most immediate need is to weld .050" 3003 for the
nose of the coupe. And then some .125" for the fuel tank. Or vise versa.
