*Yes have hooked it up and what it does is literally kill the motor(i'm
guessing the draw is too much for the 6v coil?). I hooked it up fully
figuring it would work and thought my only issue would be that it would have
an incorrect reading since most electronic tachs are built for 2 or more
cyl's.
It's a points system and will be no problem on one bike as it will be changed
to electronic and 12v eventually, but have another one that will stay as is
and in production class. I would like to add a certain tach that's only
available in 12v and am using this one to test with. Also would be willing to
run an electrical 6v tach if I could find one(found one from a porsche but
only goes to 5,500rpm). If anyone knows of one that goes over 8,000rpms
please let me know?
