Scott I've played it both ways at Maxton.... since my car doesn't seem to
spin the tires as hard as say Grib's car.... I usually shift back into Peak
torque... but as I recall that thing of yours is loose on it's shifts....
so you might want to try the increased Rpm to shift higher so as to avoid
Peak Torque...
Without a Dyno sheet it's hard to know what to do one way or the other...
our best results with a torque motor was to stay above it.... with the D
motor we were always shooting for the highest Rpm in the next gear
change.... seemed to work.... we ran 200mph with both engines... The Cast
Iron D motor being my favorite pass of all time..... it's the one Will
Handzel wrote about in Chevy High Performance.... Very cool deal.
