Thanks to all contributors on this discussion, so we got a better grasp
of the facts.
As engines, they are magnificent, and I can understand why Don Vesco
wanted to use a helicopter turbine in his car. As long as he ran it
within the maker's parameters, he could safely assume it would be 100%
reliable, just another controlled system in the vehicle.
Only problem is, most of us, including myself, love to hear the
beautiful exhaust note of a well-tuned piston engine. And the turbine
engine can never produce anything but a brutal roar. Bill
