you guys talking about different things have helped me greatly on this
project! building a tunnel 6x6' with 10' from fan to front edge of tire.it's
for a motor cycle of course but i'm learning and it would be of a great help
in my efforts. i beleive ,i have been playing with different types of fans
and i may end up going with a prop from an airplane.i have many questions
but here goes...........what minimum mph would even on a lesser scale show
me some usable data?i hope 10' from fan to front edge of wheel is enough
for air to stableize..is it? if not would it still give me some usable
data?i am us tuffting/smoke wand and possibly a colored liquid.also a mph
gauge for baseline /wish i had a manometer to measure high/low airdensity to
help but still hunting and hopeing it's one i can afford.any more equipment
needed? am i missing something?also have a window on the side and top of
tunnel centered up and pointing straight down with mirrors on the back
side.(all flush and smooth inside of course!)i pl;an on mounting cam-corders
on the side and top so i can see what's going on.........if nothing else
working on my tuck ,etc..any thoughts?last but not least on the top of my
mind.................does it matter if it is sq. or round inside? i'm
planning on making it round as it's less air to move and more speed....aero
discussions here are very interesting.......and informative.i'd like to be
able to test and see if what i'm doing is on the right track or making me
slower?.thank you one and all.ol dad #566b
