The right gear is important, but it wont make up for lack of horsepower! At
the drags you can lower the gear and win the race, at Bonneville you can
lower the gear and blow the engine. I have chased gears all over the place
and gotten the same speed, only more horsepower got more speed with whatever
gear. this is a speed race not a time race. Nebulous but true! Kinda. JACK
