HELLO WALT....... I AM STUNNED AND HAVE BEEN
JUST SITTING HERE FEELING NUMB AT MY KEYBOARD AFTER GETTING YOURS, AND A
NUMBER OF OTHER EMAILS, WITH THE TRAGIC NEWS . IT IS SO HARD TO BELIEVE. HE
WAS SUCH A FRIENDLY AND FUN GUY AND HE HUNG AROUND WITH MY BOYS AND I AT
BONNEVILLE AND HELPED. WHEN MARY ANN & I VISITED YOU AND YOUR CRUISE
NIGHT LAST FALL WE HAD HOPED TO ZIP UP TO STRONG THE NEXT DAY TO SEE SAM &
GLORIA, BUT THEY WERE OFF TO A CARSHOW THAT WEEKEND ....... GLORIA AND MARY
ANN GOT ALONG GREAT WHEN THEY MET AT THE EAST HARTFORD HOT ROD RUMBLE
LAST YEAR . THEY TALKED FOR HOURS . AS YOU KNOW, NEW ENGLAND
HOTRODDING HAS LOST ONE OF ITS MODERN DAY LEGENDS, AND WE HAVE ALL LOST
A GOOD FRIEND AND
A VERY CLEVER AND TRUE HOT RODDER OF THE OLD SCHOOL. WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER
HIM AND HIS SMILING FACE AND ENTHUSIASM FOR CARS AND PEOPLE AND LIFE.
FOLKS LIKE SAM ARE WHAT MAKE OUR
SPORT AND HOBBY SO REALLY REWARDING ............
SO VERY GLAD HE GOT TO REALIZE HIS DREAM IN HIS CLASSIC EARLY LAKES
STYLE COUPE AT BONNEVILLE !
FAIR WINDS AND FAST TIMES TO OUR PAL
WHEREVER HE MAY BE !!!!
