C-130J uses 6 bladed props on their turboprop engines.
reportedly Lockheed is working/testing with a 10 bladed prop now..
However there is also reported to be a problem with the 6 bladed
props, at certain wing/turn/banking angles..
..something about turbulence off the blade tips.
issue can be addressed with pilot training...
( son-in-laws dad is a C-130 shop manager for the local ANG, and
I got a beautiful print of the C-130J on the wall from the rollout
ceremony in Ga.)
