I may be missing something Glenn but I think the purpose of "Traction
Control"
is to put as much power as possible to the drive wheels without spinning
them.
Isn't that exactly what Austin Coil and Bernie Fedderly are doing when they
adjust the clutch and the engine tune on John Force's car for each pass?
So if I have a static system that doesn't have active feedback and is
only adjusted
in the pits, I don't see a problem.
For example I can control boost based ONLY on the gear I'm in and the
engine RPM. I think this would be very useful in preventing overpowering
the
track.
