Dick, get the Tilton catalog and it will shed much light on the subject.
MUCH Careful Measurement and meticulous setup is essential. The thing
hasn't got too much travel, and you need most of it to disengage the
clutch fully. So this does not leave much for free play. Even the fact
that it has to move one full thread on its mount at a time, is
important. You have to get all the air out of it by serious bleeding,
or there's more play there.
The pedal stroke and ratio are important, and I was advised to start
with the biggest master cylinder choice(1-1/8") which was good advice,
because it helps you start on top of the situation, rather than starting
with what may be a marginal smaller size, since you need X amount of
displaced fluid to work the thing. The whole thing is a flock of
ambiguities, a very interesting puzzle, and works like a charm when you
