The Shearers were most certainly at the World Finals this year.
At Speed Week this year I got my first pass down the long course. When I
came to a stop and was busy trying to get all unhooked, this white truck was
driving toward me. Of course when you are down there and it has been pretty
warm, and you're real tired of being wrapped in a blanket, but real happy
from the ride, and it's hot, and you are wondering about your time, and it's
hot... These really nice people show up with a cup of water and your times
written on a Post-it note. Cris offers help if you need a hand with the
suit, and snaps a picture or two for Bonneville Racing News.
By then, it's time for them to get going down to the next car.
Super-nice people!!!!
I didn't know anything about the video - heck that cup of water is as good
as champagne at that point!

My real interest is in the event. I doubt if she filmed any of my runs. I
peaked at a modest 167 this time out. I did see a turbo in this months cycle
world for my bike (GSX-r1000) that based on the test should push me up close
to 200 mph next year. The current record for MPS-G is about 181. Now I just
need to figure out where to get the $4,695 without the little lady finding
out.
