I wrote friend Bill sometime around last Christmas asking if he'd 
"enlighten" some of us "younger" dudes about some of that long lost early 
LSR history and/or juicy rumors...  hav'nt heard back from him...

Sure wish SOMEONE would -throughly- interview him and write a book.

The Pierson Brothers tell of conflict between roadster clubs and coupe
clubs.  They ran on different lakes hence the name Rusetta Timing
Association for the Rusetta Dry Lake where they ran.  Some major conflict
between the two types of cars and the "True" definition of a hot rod.
Somewhere I've read more about it but the best source is some of the
old-timers like Bill Burke.  Lots more color in their stories.
