If you have been watching the weather for western Utah you are aware that a
large storm centered over the Arizona Strip between Mesquite and St. George
is pushing storms into the area. According to the weather reporter on TV
just now, Ely, NV had 10 inches of snow yesterday. Ibapa UT, south of the
salt flats, had 12" from the same storm. The ski areas just out of Salt
Lake received upwards of 10 inches.
I'm going to Logan, UT for a football game on Friday night and taking my
full-on cold weather gear since the forecast for Logan on Friday shows a low
expected of 33 degrees. I can prepare for that, but wouldn't know how to
prepare for a ten foot storm surge like Louisiana and Texas are expecting.
Good luck down there guys!
