Gary, that's all true for the heavier bikes. Someone mentioned here
recently that to steer his heavy bike, he had to consciously apply a
countersteer every time. With a light bike around 300 lbs, it steers
effortlessly in all normal riding situations merely by shifting your
weight 1/4 of an inch. Countersteering is never necessary except in an
unusual situation where you need to change direction sharply.
The above is why we have been told for a long time that riding the TZ250
Yamaha on the track, with 220 lbs and 90 horsepower, is... "ecstasy".
