For those planning to cross Hoover Dam on their way to the
Salt, I pass along this note I sent, and got a reply to, this
morning. Note the fuel restriction.

Ed Van Scoy,
As of right now, the conditions are the same.

Hello;
I sent & received the e-mail below to your office back in
April. I plan to cross the Dam on Wednesday on my way to Las
Vegas with my race car and enclosed trailer. Have conditions
changed such that I will not be allowed past the checkpoint?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

>If all areas of the trailer and truck are easily accessible
for inspection you will have no problem. If the trailer and
truck are tightly packed, so that material would have to be
removed to do a proper inspection, then you will need to use
the detour. If you are carrying fuel for the car, other than
what is in the tank, use the detour.
