Donnie Stringfellow who ran at Speedweek with the turbocharged Chev in the
Stringfellow/Kirk, Datsun Z Car (much modified nose) is the son of the
driver who set those records. He lives in Heber Springs, Arkansas. I'd
suggest you try to chase him down for accurate information on the truck.
The really cool paint job is still on the GMC motorhome we use for World of
Speed as our timing "tower" ... this vehicle was the one with all the TV
monitors in the back when it was one of three support vehicles on the salt.
They changed the paint job on the race truck the next year but the support
vehicles still had the salt spray motif.
