My theory is that old Larry was there so long, he got himself a bigger, better
bike. What's more, I'll bet its actually recorded in his original diary.

I think you must be right. A long time ago, someone told me that JAP stoods
for James A. Peterson but that doesn't appear to be correct. I had noticed
those letters on the bike that was being fueled at the very beginning of
"Lawrence of Arabia."
