Just a guess, Mayf, but it seems that you could plot a curve indicating how
fast a motor can increase RPM under ideal acceleration conditions, then program
the thing to recognize sudden bursts in RPM increase which could only be the
result of blown driveline or the beginning of loss of traction. When the
computer recognizes these anomolies in acceleration curve, it would take over
and reduce power output. Not as ideal as some traction control devices, but
probably better than a foot on the gas pedal.

The only thing I can see is that it might be like a G-tech which gives
lateral g's and provides this to the driver. That way he could always drive
the car as fast as the limit of traction would allow. But the driver is
still in control in this case. Still I can see how it could be an edge in
that kind of racing (circle track). Is this what is going on?
