On May 4th, Murphey revealed an amazing new electronic speed secret guaranteed
to make your racing motor 100% blow-up proof! (Keith, listen up!)
If you work late at night, well past your bedtime, it is possible to wire your
tachometer so that the motor will not run. There is an easy way to do this.
The wires that come on the tachometer are all too short. Get a roll of blue
wire, and extend the red wire, the green wire, the black wire, and the white
wire with blue wire. Then connect one blue wire to the distributor, one to the
instrument lights, one to the ignition switch, and one to ground. The odds are
extremely high that you will discover this secret wiring technique, especially
if you are well into your fifties. If you are not old enough, you might ge able
to get a blonde to help you. You can probably use a different colored wire if
you don't like blue. It may take some trial and error to make this method work
with a magneto or flywheel triggered ignition, but it can probably be done.
Good luck!
