Neil,
Based on what I have read (http://www.smh.com.au/) their concern isn't
about the political left or any environmental groups ideas or opinion.
It about the large increase in skin cancer and the high levels of UV that
hit their skin when they walk outside.
These are not debatable facts.
Farmers are also concerned.
As far as Freon goes, can it deplete ozone - yes. Proven fact.
Is it involved in the ozone hole dynamics - maybe, this is debatable.
They believe they are on fire Neil ,
