Thanks. The Moto Guzzi V-8 sounds like the BRM V-16 effort-- they fell
victim to their own complexity.

Neil, that was Moto Guzzi back in their great GP days, the mid-'50s.
They made a super 500cc V8, which had a tremendous performance, and did
some real good at the races. The only real drawback was from the
practical maintenance standpoint, it took too long to service and
rebuild in the factory's race department through sheer complexity. Its
fling ended when the company quit GP racing in, I believe, '57. Bill
