I'm a newbie, so take this for what it's worth, but I personally can't envision
the masses and/or mass media overrunning Bonneville, or LSR in general. Why?
Because we live in a fairly lazy, comfort-seeking culture, and land speed
racing seems to me to be an endeavor that requires a lot of work, dedication,
obsession and, at times, discomfort. I just can't see average Americans
swarming out to the oven-like salt flats--unless someone drags you out there,
you're only there because you want to be....
Just my $.02, as they say....
