Hondas GP bikes

didn't they have Gran Prix motors in the 60's turning like 16,000 rpms 
in 12 cyl engines ? Absolutely jewels,somebody on this list must have 
specifics. Bob,Honda Fan,Wanner 

I got to hear the former world champion make an exhibition run on one of those 
bikes at Daytona in 1995.  There are no words to describe that sound.
