Very cool..... amazing story.... had to laugh.... you never remember your
average students... and the bad one's you put out of your mind as best you
can..... and the good one's are what makes the whole teaching gig
special.... one of the two best Students I ever had was brought up on an
airport working like you did to earn his flights.... that ASS.... he was
so good I hated to touch the controls... anyway we were done doing the
basics one day and I was out teaching him Wing Overs in a Cobra..... and
our hero was being Very smooth and exceptionally slow with his Roll
rates...... so being the semi Fine instructor I am.... I called him Panty
Waist and told him to turn the Damn thing.... Next thing I know I'm
looking at the Ground through the roof..... Hmmm thinking with a Cobra
this isn't a good thing.... I took the controls and Finally got it back
right side up and decided there and then.... never to call someone a Panty
waist..... seem's his daddy was trading rides for work... only his daddy
had a Pitts.... this boy wasn't afraid to be upside down.... Hence the
worn out face....

There are NO gray areas in flying.... it's all black and white.... and
sometimes you step out of the black side with a bit more white....

Keith ( oh the bad one story's I could tell.... but one day I'll do the
Thug- artichoke)
