Keith, I got tired of buying valve spring compressors that bend and warp. I made my own out of 1.25 X .125 square steel tube and a heavy flat washer and .5 threaded (fine threads) rod (rounded on the end) and a nut welded on the end. A couple of nuts to thread it through also. Looks like a very large "C" clamp with a ring on the washer to hold that end on the valve spring. Run it with an air wrench and it is really a snap.
