When we first moved back here from California I found a list of paperback
best sellers at the local 7-11 stores. A friend from Redwood City had his
latest book (Nightfall at Nauvoo, a Mormon historical novel) listed between
Javiera and The Happy Hooker. Had to send the list to him to show how
popular his book was and what kind of company it was keeping on the book
racks in Salt Lake.
His reply went something like "If, as they say, the devil lurks between the
covers of books, I wonder which will do more damage in Zion?"
