Actually, I don't think it is the younger generation itself that anyone is
"afraid of" or even dislikes. It's more a question of their behavior --
antisocial, inconsiderate, and disrespectful. Loud annoying stereos are just
one symptom. Not every young person falls into this category and I think
those young folks who have a genuine interest in cars and other people
should-- and will-- find a warm welcome into the racing community.
I hope your son is back into the driver's seat soon.

My son started driving ar the age of sixteen at maxton. He has set several
records in the 29 roadster and also in his tow truck. He is seventeen now
and
hasn't driven much this year because of an operation. But he has worked in
the tower and at other places while he is getting better. It sounds like
there are a bunch of you that are afraid of the youth that is coming up. My
folks use to think my roadsters and flatheads were dumb too. Maybe we could
let them run if they promise not to beat us old guys to bad.
