Hey Grib,
Just got the mag last night. Congrats on the publicity, not too many get in
HR with a feature on their car. Great write-up on driving the car by DF
too.
There were some questions recently about body shapes, whether boxy shapes
were better than minimum area cars. Well, check out the history of the
Fastest Hot Rod trophy cars. Lots of swoopy shapes. And Mayf, there is a
picture of the Red Head there too. (One of my all time favorite
streamliners.)

Subject: HotRod
List,
Someone mentioned a pictorial review of past record breakers (mostly
laksters/streamliners) in the upcoming December issue of Hot Rod. It's
extremely well done and a great promotion for our sport. A few pagers
further
and you'll find, Oh No, NASCAR on the Salt. David Frieburger did an
excellent
rendition of what it's like to take a ride over 200 MPH a B'Ville. It was
like
re-living it for me and I'm very proud to have David pilot the Bird, he's an
excellent driver and storyteller. I'm also very proud to see the Bird be a
Centerfold for Hot Rod. As a kid growing up I couldn't imagine seeing my
name
in print in the number one auto magazine. I hope you all get to see/read it.
Thanks David
Grib
