Sounds like the "old girl" has legs, Dave.

Subject: RE: survey question
Dave,
Here's some info on my 'girlie' camaro (1979, never weighed it but it is
probably between 3000 and 4000#, don't know the horsepower but it ran 224 at
Bonneville, 213 at Muroc and 209 at El Mirage)
Rear suspension: Stock, multi-leaf spring, suspension stops 'cause the stock
spoiler bottoms out the suspension at speed.
Rear end: Ford 9", mini-spool
Tires: Set Bonneville records with old 800/820-15 Firestone Bonnevilles.
They finally went away so I replaced them with Goodyear Land Speed tires
based on the frontrunner molds. They have beefier sidewalls and a higher
speed rating than regular frontrunners.
