Don't feal bad! This is what I did back in the late 1970's when I
was into old sprintcars. I had ben after this D.O.Green sprinter for a few
years, and finally closed the deal. This was a one bay garage PACKED with a
disassembled car and parts, four pickup truck loads. As I went through the
stuff I tried to assemble what I bought, turned out there was a motorcycle
powered midget in the pile as well.
I don't fit in little cars, but a good friend jumped right in it
and wanted to buy it. "A $100.00 and it is yours!" Done deal. Looking back it
was one of the dumbest things I ever did. The car was built by Pop Dryer in
Indy (he helped build the body on the Frank Lochhart LSR car), for East Coast
Midget champion Bill Schindler. The motorcycle engine was a stroked 1940
Knucklehead. Ya can't keep them all but that was a neat one I let get away.
