The question was whether or not fluids stop moing at the equator...YEP. This
is the way the old timers found the equator. When the fluid stops whirling
around, then you are on the equator. There are some important uses for this
effect having to do with ICBMs, and I'd tell ya, but then I'd hafta kill ya.
What was the "something that was on the screen" that made sense to question
