Back in the 60's I had a friend who had a road race Mini he towed with a
Morris Traveler that had the V6 & transmission out of a Capri in it. Went
good and handled pretty well but, as pointed out here the brakes were
pitiful. That should be pretty easy to fix today though.
At the same time I had a Morris Copper S (Wish I still did, especially after
seeing the prices on that Mini website!) It was pretty tricked out, 1293
cc, Weber, close ratio gears, Minilites, Goodyear race tires, etc. Most car
guys in No. Cal. then were into jacked up '55 Chevies and stuff like that.
A shoebox that could smoke the FRONT wheels in second gear had them looking
like the RCA Victor dog ... LOL
That's the car I learned to drive fast (autocross, rallies, etc.) and a good
thing too. I'm sure I'd have crashed more than once learning in something
less forgiving and agile.

I WOULDA BEEN ON OF THOSE GUYS IN THE '55 CHEV (I had a flat black 210 tudor
post with a warmed 283 with a,...a Duntov 097 cam! -lik I sed whoooom-bah!
