does anyone "out there" know either how , or where I can get a bone stock
grandma Deuce front axle straigthened? I think grandma musta been "foolin'
around" with grandpa and let'er bump into a curb at 'bout 10 Mile'an hour
with both front wheels at the same time.....Oooops!
Shes bent back from the perch bolts about an inch or so on both sides, and
twisted just a wee bit as well.
A friend gave it to me for m' project,( along with a mangled set of cut down
wishbones, and a nice front spring ) so I'd like to straighten it and use
it as the foundation for the front end on my long term, track racin',
straight line chasin' '28 roadster pickum'up truck and would be grateful to
any of you who might give me some ideas.....
-and who knows, as usual, prolly somebody else might learn something as
well.... that'd be good.
My best guess would be to take this thing to a reputable big truck alignment
shop and ask them if they'd do it. But mebbe there's a better way ? Mebbe
It's not such a good idea to try and use something that might be suspect ?
What do you guys think ?
thanks, -and cheers, "Doug down south" (south NuYawk.....)
.....Doug Anderson
