Larry,
I mount my jet box at the upper left front of the engine, it is
controlled by a handle inside the car with a 3/16" rod between the
handle and the jet box. Works great for me. As to the range of jets, it
depends on the nozzle size, fuel tank mounting, pump pressure, etc. My
fuel tank is mounted to give gravity flow to the pump, I run a Hilborn
"0" pump with no relief valve and, at present, my jets range from 0.134
to 0.148. This should be a good place to start.
