Time Dialation

I was watching a TV interview with a top fuel dragster driver last weekend.
She made a comment  about "Time Dilation". She made references of being able
to think in complete sentences and multiple events during a 5 second pass.
This is interesting to me and wonder if anyone could ad anything more to
this.
