I know that most of the cam manufacturers have an assembly lube for camshaft installations. You might want to use GM EOS.....Eng. Oil Supplement. I would definitely lube up that cam real good. I have even broken in cams without the inner valve springs installed, drive the engine for a while then just install the inner springs.
