Hi Bruce, I believe Sylvester Hayward Roper from Roxbury. Massachusetts is 
the builder of Americas first motorcycle. It was steam powered, and built in 
1869. It still exists and can be seen in the Smithsonian Institution in 
Washington, D.C., unless Bubba lifted that too when he left. Bob
