Current 500 cc GP motorcycles produce almost 200 HP (!). I don't know if
any direct comparisons can be made, but clearly a rotary shouldn't be
penalized MORE than 2 strokes.
Shouldn't we be in line with the FIA on this? I thought Bonneville records
were FIA endorsed.

Where can i get one of those 500cc 200hp 2-strokes? Are they readily
available to the public,and at realistic prices? ......Gran Prix= Big prize
and a proportionate investment to be in the race..If one can squeeze 2/3 that
HP out of a 500cc,you are doing very well !...........................Bob W

Well ... they lease them for $1M per year, but you need a pretty good resume
