This might be an interesting topic to pitch out there for comment.... more
importantly it's True and worth thinking about....
There are Two kinds of fatigue... Acute and Chronic.
Acute fatigue is staying up for a couple of days working and then you Need
Rest.... it goes away with a night or two of decent sleep...
Chronic Fatigue is another matter entirely.... it's from weeks or months of
over working and living on Less rest then your body needs. The only cure
is Lots of rest and may even take a Hospital to recover....
Think of the singers you have heard of being on the Road for Months on
end.... then getting stuck in a Hospital just to recover... with some folks
mandatory Bed Rest is required...
After this Season I know what Chronic fatigue feels like.... Perspective is
an amazing thing.... I have been sitting around playing in the shop and
whittling on some minor projects taking it REAL easy ... just trying to
allow my body to recover from the stress of this year... I guess the reason
I am writing this is that I have the training to understand what was
happening to my body over those last couple of months.... I understand how
much I was pushing myself and I know how much I can take... others may
not... Each of us is different and each of us gets into these situations
where we work harder then we need to for extended periods of time... what we
need to understand is that we don't think well when we do this.... it's
always better to take your time relax and enjoy this... it's a hobby
remember...
Just some food for thought....
Keith Turk...( and yeah I am hanging out in the shop today but the race car
is still in the trailer and won't come out for a week or two... it's just
not Time )
