Dan,
Yes it was a great meet. I was in the pits when Tom Burkland made his
pass. Even from that vantage point it was spectacular.
Keith reminds me of my determination so many years ago, only he has
better equipment to reach his goal. I can't count the number of years
that I left the Salt, discouraged, saying, "there is always next year."
The Salt replaces Pride with Humility, good life lessons are learned at
this place.
Thanks for the encouragement! I will be there trying for sure. I do
believe there is a possibility, but John, Lionel & Timney are a hard act
to follow. At this meet, when we finally appeared to be moving the right
direction, the trans went away. We are checking things out (so far the
engine looks OK) and repairing as needed to make one last attempt for
this year. Sorry you can't make it.
